How to Hang a Hammock

What you need:

  1. Ft of ….rope
  2. One or two hooks
  3. 2 clips
  4. Drill (if necessary)

Instructions:

  • Pick the area where you want to hang your hammock from. Make sure they are both solid (wall or ceiling studs, fence, post, tree). Hang your hammock on a space of at least 8 to 12 ‘ apart. The hanging points should be approximately 6 ‘ from the ground. You may choose to hang it higher or lower depending on how far you like it from the ground.
  • Tie a rope around the post or tree with knot 1. If it’s a beam, wall or ceiling stud, then drill & install a hook. Hang the rope from the hook. Then attach a snap hook to each side and hang the hammock from the clips. This way you can easily take down the hammock when needed.

How to use your hammock:

When you enter your hammock, fully extend the hammock with a hand and hold the other end for you to sit. Sit back carefully in the center and then extend lengthwise & lift up your feet (make sure you’re in the center).

To exit your hammock, go back to the sitting >position and prop up using your legs for support.

Cleaning and Care:

If it’s necessary you may hand wash your hammock with mild detergent only. After washing, fully extend & let it dry completely. During winter or rainy season, it’s preferable to store your hammock to preserve its life. Avoid keeping your hammock in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Always store your hammock completely dry, avoiding damp moist areas.

Besides that, just lay back & enjoy your hammock!
